We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team. This role involves conducting detailed inspections in a water treatment facility environment, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a keen eye for detail, working closely with various stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily work in a water treatment facility environment, adapting to a variety of weather conditions, and work up to 50 or more hours per week as required.
+ Conduct inspections of electrical components and installations of replacement parts.
+ Maintain accurate records of tests and results for submission to the project owner.
+ Prepare daily reports detailing project progress and identify any work that does not meet specifications.
+ Communicate effectively with contractors, owners, and engineering staff regarding work activities.
+ Convey information reliably and clearly to various on-site personnel, including engineers and contractors.
+ Ensure all job functions are performed safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations.
+ Respond to inquiries and/or complaints promptly and professionally.
+ Collaborate effectively within a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce.
+ Read and interpret electrical engineering plans and specifications.
+ Adhere to on-site safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
+ BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical inspection or water treatment inspection.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with switchgear and electrical components.
+ Familiarity with water and wastewater systems.
+ Experience in building inspection.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site work at a water treatment facility. The work environment demands adaptability to various weather conditions and adherence to strict safety regulations. Employees may be required to work extended hours, depending on project needs. The role offers exposure to significant city projects and collaboration with diverse teams, contributing to a dynamic and rewarding work atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
