Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
The role of the Electrical Engineer involves researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems used in industrial furnaces. The engineer will utilize AutoCAD Electrical for creating schematics and designing control cabinets, alongside programming equipment using PLCs. This full-time position offers standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no overtime required.
Responsibilities
+ Research, develop, design, and test electrical components and systems for industrial furnaces.
+ Create schematics and design control cabinets using AutoCAD Electrical.
+ Program equipment using PLCs, with a preference for Allen-Bradley experience.
+ Enhance operator interface designs and upgrade control systems.
+ Convert old designs from 2D to 3D.
+ Interact professionally with customers, potentially visiting sites 1-2 times a year for complex projects.
+ Work collaboratively with various teams, including applications and operations.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for schematic drawing and control panel design.
+ Experience with PLC programming, specifically Allen-Bradley.
+ Experience in designing custom industrial equipment and automation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in heat treat processes.
+ Familiarity with working alongside manufacturing and maintenance personnel.
Work Environment
The work environment is part of an established company with a tenured staff and low attrition. The Electrical team is small, consisting of one Advanced Electrical Engineer, while the Mechanical team includes five engineers. Interaction with applications and operations teams, as well as some customer engagement, is expected. While the systems and facilities are somewhat outdated, efforts are being made to update them. The team is close-knit, regularly engaging in team lunches and events.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
