Job Title: Survey Field Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in South Florida as a Survey Field Technician. This position involves assisting with land surveying operations by supporting field crews in data collection, equipment setup, and site preparation. Responsibilities

+ Assist field crews in data collection and equipment setup.

+ Prepare sites for surveying operations.

+ Operate basic survey tools.

+ Perform physical tasks such as lifting, digging, and carrying equipment.

+ Maintain supplies and equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.

+ Ability to follow directions and perform physical tasks.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with survey terminology.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Experience with construction or civil engineering environments.

+ Experience with total station, topographic surveys, land surveying, and GPS.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Valid driver’s license.

+ Experience working in the surveying industry is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a field-based, full-time position that requires outdoor work in varying weather and terrain. Steel toe boots are required. Travel may be required depending on project location, with most work occurring in the Florida Everglades. Technicians will meet their Crew Chief and drive to project sites. The role reports to the Survey Party Chief or Field Coordinator. This position offers on-the-job training, exposure to diverse projects, and a supportive team environment, ideal for candidates seeking long-term growth in the civil engineering and construction industries.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $47840.00/yr.
