    We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Product Engineering team, responsible for supporting the Parts and Service Organization and the new Sustaining Project workflow. This role involves engineering activities related to legacy parts, store remodels, and refrigerator display case retrofits. The engineer will evaluate and execute new customer request projects, demonstrating strong engineering rigor, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Execute engineering deliverables to satisfy project timelines.

    + Utilize 3D CAD software to create and revise display case components.

    + Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and coordinate engineering activities for project timelines.

    + Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting production issues related to product and component design.

    + Ensure designs comply with codes and agency listings (UL, NSF, DOE) and collaborate with external agencies as needed.

    + Prepare preliminary and conceptual designs for customer submittal drawings.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process and product improvement projects.

    + Manage projects from end to end, including scoping, resource allocation, task assignment, risk assessment, and project reporting.

    + Handle reverse engineering processes and 3D scanner operations.

    + Identify and mitigate technical risks within projects.

    + Manage multiple projects, solve complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    + Travel to project sites as required for engineering deliverables (Domestic Travel

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical engineering expertise.

    + Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical project management.

    + Knowledge of GD&T, refrigeration, EPA universal regulations.

    + Expertise in automation, design, and schematic.

    + Experience with Six Sigma and Lean tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

    + Minimum 5 years of engineering design and development experience.

    + Mechanical Engineering degree with CAD proficiency.

    + Experience in product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.

    + Project management experience in designing, testing, and launching new designs.

    + 3D CAD expertise and PLM experience (Solid Works & Enovia preferred).

    + Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customized manufacturing environment.

    + Strong technical skillset and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to build peer relationships and work independently.

    + Action-oriented, ethical, and customer-focused.

    Work Environment

    The manufacturing site consists of two plants with approximately 1,000 employees. There is significant growth projected this year, offering a great opportunity to work on true engineering products and projects with room for advancement.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Colonial Heights, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
