    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    + Contribute to all aspects of the full product lifecycle, from requirements development to preliminary design, critical design, prototype, test, and production.

    + Perform design, analysis, prototype, and testing tasks independently with guidance from Sr-level engineers on complex projects.

    + Engage in electrical CAD design using software such as OrCAD and Allegro.

    + Work with radiation effects on electronics and EEE parts plans.

    + Conduct electrical analysis, including worst-case, stress, and FMECA.

    + Design test equipment and generate electrical test plans and procedures.

    + Support first unit debug and write test programs and scripts using Matlab, Simulink, and C.

    + Design products for operation in space or radiation environments.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical CAD design using OrCAD and Allegro.

    + Experience with power electronics, with 10-15 years of experience, including 5 years in power electronics.

    + Strong analog experience, preferably in A&D or automotive sectors.

    + Familiarity with simulation tools and Cadence Allegro.

    + Ability to design for manufacture and conduct thorough electrical testing.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with GaN (Gallium Nitride) components.

    + 5-10 years of experience in designing electronics or test support equipment, preferably in space or high-reliability/low SWaP applications.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $72.00/hr.
