    Infusion Pharmacy Technician – Immediate Need

    9‑Month Contract | High Likelihood of Direct Hire

    We are urgently seeking an Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join a high‑volume, patient‑focused infusion pharmacy team. This role is critical to supporting sterile compounding and IV production workflows, ensuring patients receive accurate and timely therapies. This is a 9‑month contract with strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

    Position Overview

    In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to prepare sterile compounded products, manage IV fulfillment, and maintain compliance with cleanroom and USP standards. Your attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality will directly impact patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform sterile compounding in compliance with cleanroom procedures and maintain sterile logs.

    + Prepare, fill, and stage IV orders, supplies, and related infusion materials.

    + Accurately label, package, and prepare infusion products for delivery.

    + Follow all gowning, sanitization, cleanroom, and SOP requirements.

    + Manage and monitor inventory for IV solutions, disposables, and supplies; report low‑stock items.

    + Verify drug, diluent, concentration, and BUD accuracy prior to pharmacist review.

    + Maintain accurate documentation in all required systems and logs.

    + Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to meet production timelines and resolve order questions.

    + Support general pharmacy operations as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.

    Required Qualifications

    + Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of New Jersey.

    + Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; infusion or sterile compounding preferred.

    + Proficiency in pharmacy operations, data entry, and compounding workflows.

    + Ability to follow direction with strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to stand for an 8‑hour shift in a production environment.

    Preferred Skills & Attributes

    + Experience with USP <797> cleanroom procedures; USP <800> exposure is a plus.

    + Dependability, punctuality, and pride in workmanship.

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    + Dedication to high‑quality patient and customer care.

    Work Environment & Schedule

    + High‑throughput infusion pharmacy environment.

    + Core schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM.

    + Weekend shifts required on a rotational basis with advance scheduling.

    + Overtime not required.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Somerset, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
