What you'll do
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, the Internal Communications Specialist will coordinate employee communications across the enterprise, overseeing complex projects and publications to reach diverse caregiver, clinician, and executive audiences. The position supports essential operational communications as well as high-level education around major organizational priorities and initiatives. The Internal Communications Specialist will also research, recommend, and implement a new communication tool/platform to roll out. The ideal candidate thrives in a complex, fast-paced corporate environment with deadlines, has significant experience working in internal communications (preferably in healthcare), is an excellent writer, and embraces teamwork. This role requires in-person office time every week.
+ Manage and develop content for internal publications, including employee newsletters, the internal intranet, and other communications tools, as well as social media channels.
+ Research and implement a new enterprise-wide communications platform.
+ Write stories, take photos, and prepare short videos for campaigns and initiatives as assigned.
+ Manage complex communications projects for internal audiences – from conception to roll-out.
+ Provide critical support to key internal stakeholders and experts for employee communications, including Human Resources, clinical leadership and operations, Corporate Compliance, and other
+ disciplines.
+ Assist the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations with Incident Command and crisis communications planning and response efforts.
+ Serve on relevant workgroups and committees as a key stakeholder for staff education and outreach.
+ Assist with miscellaneous Marketing & Communications projects and tasks as needed, including donor communications, social media content, copywriting, proofreading, and other duties as assigned.
+ Other duties as needed.
What we need from you
Education:
+ 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field, required
+ Master's Degree, preferred
Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years in a multi-entity, complex corporate environment working with internal communication - preferably healthcare, required
Skills:
+ Reading/Writing/Comprehension
+ Interacting with People
+ Communication
+ Project Management/Planning
+ Computer Skills
Physical Requirements:
+ Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $26.25/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $39.37/Hr.
