    Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to coordinate operations, processing, and packaging teams to produce quality products and fulfill customer orders. This role involves overseeing production activities, addressing mechanical issues, and resolving manufacturing problems.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate and supervise all production activities of an assigned work team on a shift basis.

    + Direct assigned associates in the receiving, processing, and packaging departments.

    + Plan, assign, and direct work activities.

    + Address mechanical issues on machinery and assist in product complaint investigations.

    + Ensure efficient execution of production activity to maintain high-quality standards.

    + Collaborate with Plant Management and Supervisory Staff to maximize productivity.

    + Ensure procedures are in place for production efficiency, product quality, and employee safety.

    + Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.

    + Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements.

    + Evaluate needs in production for daily assignment of duties.

    + Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

    + Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving problems.

    + Maintain time records for payroll and production records.

    + Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.

    + Supervise assigned employees ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, and performance management.

    Essential Skills

    + Supervision experience with a minimum of 3+ years in a manufacturing setting.

    + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, FDA/PDA regulation, GFSI Standards.

    + Ability to follow Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery errors.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school graduate or equivalent required.

    + History of experience in food/beverage manufacturing is highly preferred.

    + Experience working in a union environment may be required.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Calculators, Desktop computers, and Photocopiers.

    This role is set in a food manufacturing experience within a union environment, utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Reading, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
