Inventory Clerk

**Location:** Des Plaines, IL

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented **Inventory Clerk** to join our team at our clean and organized repair facility near O’Hare International Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate accounting of inventory, including receiving, processing, recording, and distributing supplies and materials. You’ll play a critical part in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting logistics for cold chain shipping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

+ Receive and release containers, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately.

+ Clean containers (inside and outside) under supervision, following CSafe-approved procedures.

+ Interact with transport company drivers during deliveries and container releases.

+ Prepare outgoing containers for shipment, including cleaning and testing per CSafe documentation.

+ Coordinate with Logistics and Customer Service to ensure proper documentation and special instructions are followed.

+ Enter and maintain accurate records in inventory systems.

+ Operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) as needed.

+ Perform additional manual tasks and clerical duties as assigned.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with warehouse equipment.

+ Forklift operation experience.

+ Strong inventory management and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency in data entry and computer systems.

+ Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory environment required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
