We are seeking a Project Engineer for our Charlotte, NC office. In this role, you will plan and coordinate activities to meet time and budget constraints, with a strong focus on project safety. Knowledge of OSHA standards is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and coordinate project activities to ensure they meet time and budget constraints.
+ Ensure project safety in line with OSHA standards.
+ Obtain submittals from subcontractors and suppliers, then process all submittals, including samples, product data, shop drawings, and engineering-stamped documents, to ensure compliance with contract documents.
+ Assist with coordination of all trades, involving communication with subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
+ Document conflicts or items requiring further information in RFIs.
+ Manage construction management, project coordination, and document control.
+ Handle renovation projects, time and budget management, submittals from subcontractors and suppliers, and data entry.
+ Manage RFIs, Microsoft Office tasks, change orders, and administrative support.
+ Provide customer service and project administration using Procore document control technology.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architectural, or Engineering degree or related field.
+ 2-3 years of experience in construction management or equivalent experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in commercial construction and project administration.
+ Proficiency in using Procore document control technology.
Work Environment
Work will be on-site at commercial projects throughout the Carolinas.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
