Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for defining and implementing manufacturing and test processes for Satellite PCBA sub-systems. As a key member of the development team, you will serve as the main interface among internal engineering and operations teams as well as with our manufacturing partners. Your role will encompass developing test strategies, implementing, and optimizing test setups and processes at Contract Manufacturing sites, including the identification, specification, design, and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and optimize test strategies and setups at Contract Manufacturing sites.
+ Identify, specify, design, and qualify test fixtures, equipment, and diagnostic software.
+ Work with Design and Manufacturing teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM and DFT principles.
+ Identify and report product failures to manufacturing and quality teams.
+ Train operators on the process and support recurring certification programs.
+ Record, analyze, and report process metrics to predict and mitigate process failures.
+ Root cause process failures and implement corrective actions.
+ Manage configuration changes and enforce configuration control throughout the process.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a manufacturing setting or on a manufacturing floor.
+ Experience working with customers or contract manufacturers.
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, and test development.
+ Experience in test planning and test case writing.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ 4+ years of experience building test fixtures and complex test systems including RF Functional Tests, High Power Electrical Tests, and ICT/bed-of-nails.
+ 4+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems.
+ 4+ years of experience using standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience designing and building complex test systems including ICT, bed-of-nails, BIST, and functional tests.
+ Experience in test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016).
+ Knowledge of software tools for test automation (e.g., NI LabVIEW and TestStand, Python).
+ Experience with power supplies, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed digital interfaces.
+ Experience in the space/aerospace sector is a plus.
+ RF experience is highly beneficial.
Work Environment
The position requires traveling onsite at a customer site in Carson City, NV. The environment involves sitting onsite at the Contract Manufacturer's location, engaging with various teams and technologies.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
