    •️** **About the Role

     

    We’re searching for a reliable, skilled **Cook** to join our healthcare food service team. This role is essential in preparing high‑quality meals for **patients, retail operations, and catering services** , while following strict dietary and safety standards. If you’re passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a clean, structured environment—this is the perfect opportunity.

     

    •** **What You’ll Do

    + Prep and prepare food items: cutting, slicing, dicing, chopping, pureeing, marinating, etc.

    + Wash, peel, and process vegetables/fruits; weigh and measure ingredients.

    + Follow **standardized recipes** and use multiple cooking techniques (sautéing, broiling, braising, baking, grilling, deep frying, steaming).

    + Operate institutional cooking equipment while maintaining food quality and temperature standards.

    + Properly chill, label, date, and store food per **food safety and rotation procedures** .

    + Complete assigned **food safety quality control logs** .

    + Follow dietary needs including allergens, modified textures, and nutritional restrictions.

    + Clean and sanitize all equipment, appliances, and work areas.

    •** **Essential Skills

    + Experience in food service, food prep, and cleaning

    + Knowledge of food safety standards

    + Skilled in cooking, tray line, or line cook operations

    •** **Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude

    + Ability to follow portion guidelines and dietary protocols

    + Assemble meals according to diet orders and menus

    + Maintain clean and organized work areas

    + Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and correctly

    This is a Contract position based out of St. Peters, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
