Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description
Join a leading organization in the battery recycling industry as a Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the circular economy by ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of plant equipment and building systems. This position requires maintenance support for the 2nd and 3rd shifts, focusing on routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyor systems, and balers.
+ Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine system checks.
+ Assist with minor equipment modifications and fabrication projects, involving cutting, welding, and using power tools.
+ Perform maintenance on facility infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
+ Conduct required inspections of safety features like eye wash stations and emergency exit lighting.
+ Strictly follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
+ Record maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment issues in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
+ Work both independently and with other technicians, supervisors, and production staff to resolve issues and ensure operational continuity.
Essential Skills
+ At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
+ 5+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience, including blueprint reading and 480 volt/3 phase systems.
+ 5+ years of mechanical maintenance repairs, including pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ PLC Troubleshooting
+ Conveyor Maintenance
+ Lockout/Tagout expertise
+ Experience with VFDs, Sensors, and HMI.
+ High school diploma or GED is required.
+ Working knowledge of the LOTO system.
+ Physical ability to work in an industrial environment and use various tools and equipment.
+ Forklift certification may be required or will be provided.
+ Capability and willingness to train other maintenance personnel.

Work Environment
Work in a battery recycling facility with a clean and climate-controlled environment. Benefit from newer equipment and machinery, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace. Be prepared to work Saturdays until fully staffed again, with available shifts from 2pm-10:30pm and 10pm-6:30am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
