Data Facilities Technician
Job Description
This role utilizes advanced skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. The position involves oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Complete assigned work under close supervision according to established processes and procedures in accordance with Environment, Health and Safety Policy, ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed.
+ Ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
+ Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations.
+ Accompany vendors on site visits as needed and ensure site standards are met.
+ Help create and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.
+ Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated.
+ Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
Essential Skills
+ 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical fields (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
+ Strong experience in either HVAC or Electrical.
+ Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
+ High School Diploma/GED required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Data technology expertise.
+ Experience with CMMS and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is within a Data Center/Corporate setting. The position requires working Sunday to Wednesday from 12 PM to 10 PM, with flexibility for an earlier shift if needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Long Beach, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
