    Labor Foreman

     

    Pay: $28-$35 p/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor Foreman to oversee and delegate tasks for crews working on the interior of a significant construction project. This role involves working directly with a specialized project team where laborers are responsible for site logistics, cleanup, and general housekeeping tasks to ensure the job site operates safely and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise laborers and coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors.

    + Organize work, manage equipment, handle clean-up, and build protection systems.

    + Enforce company safety policies and maintain high safety standards.

    + Understand construction documents and drawings, and utilize basic computer skills for project applications.

    + Work in construction environments, including climbing stairs or ladders and performing physical tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 7 years of experience in planning and implementing industrial construction projects.

    + At least 1 year of foreman, team lead, or supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    + Active OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to pursue certification.

    + Ability to lead, delegate, and motivate teams.

    + Strong planning and analysis skills.

    + Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

    + Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

    + Basic computer skills for company and project applications.

    + Proficient knowledge of Environmental Health Safety (EH&S) processes and regulations.

    + Valid state and/or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as applicable.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience overseeing manpower on high-profile commercial construction sites.

    + Basic understanding of blueprint reading.

    + Knowledge of carpentry and drywall for interior building construction.

    + Ability to develop team members and provide performance feedback.

    + Critical thinking and good judgment to solve problems.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based on a large construction project, involving building additional structures on an existing site in Apex, NC. The position requires working in a demanding construction environment with a focus on safety and efficiency

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apex, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
