Job Title: Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of production-related equipment. This includes ingredient handling, milk plant operations, packaging systems, and storage systems. The role is vital for ensuring cost-effective and reliable equipment performance through preventive and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of production equipment.

+ Manage ingredient handling and preparation, including sugar dissolving and bulk handling.

+ Operate and maintain milk plant equipment such as cold separators and CIP plants.

+ Ensure efficient functioning of packaging labelers, case packers, palletizers, and conveyor systems.

+ Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as per schedule.

+ Create follow-up notifications and improvements in the SAP system.

+ Provide technical training to operators to ensure knowledge transfer.

+ Solve equipment-related problems creatively to optimize production.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement and competency development.

+ Participate in problem-solving using tools like BDA and GSTD.

+ Lead maintenance procedure updates and PM optimization efforts.

+ Review required spare parts to maximize warehouse service efficiency.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 3 years of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, preferably in the food industry.

+ Proficiency in 120v-480v and 3-phase systems, with lock out/tag out experience.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Ability to read wire diagrams and schematics.

+ Competency in using mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.

+ Basic PLC experience, including troubleshooting and reading ladder logic.

+ Experience with CMMS (Preventive Maintenance Programs).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in automation or robotics.

+ Experience with FDA/USDA regulations.

+ Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

+ Basic computer skills, including Outlook email.

Work Environment

The role involves working 10-hour shifts from 2:00pm-12:00am and 9:00pm-7:30am. The work environment is very clean, typical of the food industry, with occasional work in extreme temperatures, such as freezers reaching up to -40 degrees or ovens exceeding 100 degrees. Employees are supplied uniforms and may receive discounts at the company store.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53664.00 - $74713.60/yr.
