    Job Description

    The role involves welding components of Dump Bodies, Ice Management, and Plow equipment onto Truck Bodies within a manufacturing plant. Candidates will be cross-trained across three main bays, specializing in the installation of Dump Bodies, Plow Mounts, Plow Equipment, and Ice Management Bodies.

    Responsibilities

    + Weld cab shields and other components using MIG welding techniques.

    + Install components such as Dump Bodies and Plow Mounts.

    + Operate Manual Brake Press, Punch Press, Ironworker, and saws to size, shape, and form metal.

    + Use hand and power tools for fabrication, assembly, and installation of components.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures for precise assembly.

    Essential Skills

    + MIG welding experience.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Blueprint reading experience.

    + Experience operating band saws and performing electrical and maintenance repairs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong attendance and positive attitude.

    + Basic tool set, including hand, air, power, and battery tools.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + 1+ year of welding experience, not necessarily in production.

    + 1+ year of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical assembly or installation experience preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dynamic shop environment where diesel trucks operate, contributing to some fume exposure. The team comprises approximately 20 members at any given time. The position is first-shift, running from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory Saturday shifts until the team is fully staffed, averaging 50-55 hours per week.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bucyrus, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
