    About the Opportunity

     

    Aerotek is hiring a skilled **Welder/Fitter** for a long‑standing, growing manufacturing company specializing in industrial furnace fabrication. This is a hands‑on role in a traditional job‑shop environment—perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and wants long‑term stability, growth, and steady hours.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform **structural plate fitting** and steel fabrication

    + Read and interpret **blueprints** and weld symbols

    + Complete **FLUX CORE welding** on plate (2–3 years required)

    + Perform **MIG welding** and tack welding

    + Use hand saws, torches, and overhead cranes

    + Assist with pipe fitting and threading

    + Keep the shop clean and work safely at all times

     

    What We’re Looking For

    Must-Have Skills

    + 2–3 years of **FLUX CORE welding** experience (plate or pipe)

    + Ability to **read blueprints** and understand weld symbols

    + Ability to tack weld accurately

    + Strong **attendance record** (references required)

    Nice to Have

    + MIG or TIG welding experience

    + Experience fitting from blueprints

    + Familiarity with industrial or job‑shop environments

    Work Environment

    + Industrial, non‑climate‑controlled facility

    + Hot in summer, cold in winter

    + Steel toes, safety glasses, and hard hat required

    + Team of experienced welders who take pride in their work

    Pay & Benefits

    + **Pay:** $19–$22/hr

    + **Raises based on performance** (approximately $1 upon hire)

    Interview & Testing

    + Weld test: **¼” horizontal and vertical** , machine pre‑set

    + Interview with Shop Supervisor

    + Questions will cover weld types, positions, blueprint knowledge, and work history

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coraopolis, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
