**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician
Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and performance of our production equipment. In this role, you’ll work with pneumatic systems, automated machinery, and perform basic PLC modifications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, completing major equipment rebuilds, and installing new automated components. Quick response to alarms, equipment failures, and production needs is essential to keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll also document maintenance activities, track parts usage, and manage inventory through the Equipment Management System (EMS). Following all safety procedures—including LOTO, 5S, and Arc Flash protocols—is a must.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and automated production equipment.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems across various machines.
+ Perform major repairs and equipment overhauls, including periodic weekend or holiday work.
+ Install and set up new automation components such as wiring, sensors, and controllers.
+ Respond quickly to alarms, breakdowns, and production calls to reduce downtime.
+ Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage.
+ Use the Equipment Management System (EMS) for inventory control and issue tracking.
+ Conduct daily checks during both production runs and downtime.
+ Model and enforce all safety standards on the floor.
Essential Skills
+ 1–2+ years of experience in industrial machine repair with foundational mechanical and electrical knowledge.
+ Experience working with production and processing equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
+ Strong understanding of electrical systems, requirements, and safety risks.
+ Competent troubleshooting using a voltmeter (AC/DC voltage) and other diagnostic tools.
+ Working knowledge of pneumatics, including actuators, solenoid valves, and control systems.
+ Computer proficiency and the ability to guide others in job‑specific software.
+ Basic PLC knowledge is a plus.
Additional Qualifications
+ Must hold a valid driver’s license.
+ Capable of meeting physical job demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, twisting, and working in tight spaces.
+ Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, is preferred.
+ Technical certifications, a vocational diploma, or an associate degree are highly desirable.
+ A Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience is preferred.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $72800.00/yr.
The company offers 100% company paid health insurance premiums for full-time employees and their eligible dependents. This means that no funds are deducted from an employees’ paycheck for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits start the first of the month from when you start. They provide $110 per week for employees to pay for babysitting services through a user-friendly app.
