    Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, drywall, and painting tasks, to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction. The role requires oversight of maintenance systems in accordance with department protocol. While the primary location is at a specified campus, occasional travel to nearby locations may be required.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete work orders related to the physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings using work order software programs.

    + Implement routine physical improvements and preventative maintenance plans, maintaining all related records and logs.

    + Assist in establishing and maintaining equipment, tools, supplies, inventories, and logs.

    + Help control expenses associated with building operations.

    + Communicate effectively regarding building status and changes.

    + Maintain professionalism and courtesy with tenants, clients, co-workers, vendors, and patients.

    + Use materials, supplies, tools, and building property safely and productively.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, facilities maintenance, HVAC, troubleshooting, building maintenance, drywall, repair, and carpentry.

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience in facilities maintenance, with a preference for senior living, commercial, or industrial settings.

    + Experience in multifamily apartment buildings is also considered.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is customer/tenant facing within a Medical Office Building, requiring a customer-first mindset and patience. Safety is a priority for the tenants, and maintaining a professional demeanor is essential.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
