Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description
Join our team as an Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift, working from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday through Thursday. Enjoy Fridays working from 5am to 1:30pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies to meet customer requirements. Your expertise in basic sheet metal, riveting, and assembly methods will be crucial in identifying nonconforming parts and ensuring quality in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements.
+ Complete data gathering to facilitate assembly progress.
+ Set up and operate various shop equipment, including squeezes and precision measuring tools such as drill motors and countersink cutters.
+ Troubleshoot problems and seek process improvements.
+ Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.
+ Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, as well as smaller bench work assemblies.
+ Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training.
+ Six months of vocational training preferred.
+ Proficiency with forklifts, drill presses, floor-mounted rivet presses, and overhead cranes.
+ Strong time management skills.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and communicate verbally regarding work processes.
+ Ability to write and record process information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5 years of experience in complex assembly and structures.
+ Prefer experience with companies like Spirit, Boeing, Textron, or Cessna.

Work Environment
The role is full-time and takes place in a climate-controlled area. You will be required to wear steel toe boots. The work environment is typically loud, and you may be exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
