Our client in the Lower Fairfield, CT area has a Senior Tax Accounting opening on a potential consulting to full-time basis. There is flexibility for the work to be done on on-site at one of their 3 locations or fully remote. The Senior Tax Accountant will focus on providing exceptional tax services and compliance support to high-net-worth individuals and their families. This position requires a strong background in income, gift, estate, and trust tax returns, as well as a commitment to delivering tailored tax planning strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review tax returns, including income, gift, estate, trust, partnership, S corporation, and private foundation filings for high-net-worth clients.
• Develop and analyze detailed quarterly tax projections to recommend optimal planning strategies.
• Conduct tax research to address complex issues and provide thorough recommendations.
• Communicate with federal and state tax authorities to address notices, resolve disputes, and assist in audits.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and strategies, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for clients.
• Guide clients in gathering necessary documentation and respond to their inquiries effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while providing expert tax guidance.
• Collaborate seamlessly with remote team members to ensure coordinated efforts and service delivery.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals.
• Proficiency in preparing various tax returns, including income, gift, estate, trust, and partnership filings.
• Strong knowledge of tax research and the ability to formulate well-supported, detail-oriented opinions.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and strategies relevant to high-net-worth clients.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and tax authorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote team members.
• Advanced analytical skills for preparing comprehensive tax projections.
• Commitment to staying updated on evolving tax laws and strategies.
