Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting who thrives in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, reconciliation, and process improvements while mentoring less experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct trial balance analyses for assigned entities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage tasks associated with the monthly close process, ensuring timely completion.

• Maintain and oversee lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 standards for both operating and finance leases.

• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Supervise the maintenance of fixed asset registers and related depreciation schedules.

• Perform and oversee bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze income statement accounts as assigned.

• Provide training and guidance to Staff Accountants on financial analysis and control account reconciliations.

• Take on special projects and additional duties as required, contributing to organizational goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and systems. Requirements • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced spreadsheets; knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Availability to work extended hours when necessary to fulfill business needs.

• Proven ability to mentor and train entry level accounting staff effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interaction at all organizational levels.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• 4–6 years of detail oriented accounting experience in a corporate setting.

• Preferred experience in industries such as construction, engineering, design-build, or entrepreneurial/start-up environments.
