    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will handle various billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and data entry. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the billing department within a dynamic work environment. Preferably with QuickBooks (Desktop) experience!

    Responsibilities:

    • Input data from work orders and shipping documents into QuickBooks with precision.

    • Generate and issue customer invoices using QuickBooks software.

    • Review billing entries to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

    • Maintain organized records of billing transactions and related documentation.

    • Collaborate with team members to address billing inquiries and provide timely resolutions.

    • Ensure compliance with established billing procedures and company policies.

    • Assist in catching up on overdue billing tasks as needed as well as performing administrative tasks when needed.

    • Prepare and deliver billing statements to customers in a timely manner.

    • Utilize computerized billing systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

    • Strong understanding of billing functions, including invoice generation and collection.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Proficient in computerized billing systems and related tools.

    • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.

    • Knowledge of billing procedures and best practices.
