    Position Summary

    This position is accountable for and manages the development, implementation and maintenance of Medicaid implementations and special projects, as assigned.

     

    Project scope typically includes a focus on functional workgroup assignments and delivery of project plans, to meet contractual requirements and deliverables for project success.

     

    Scope of work may impact processes, systems, functions, and/or products. Supports the business by recommending appropriate actions, strategies, and/or alternatives to meet business needs.

     

    Has responsibility supporting all aspects of the project such as planning, coordinating, developing, while prioritizing work, resources, and time.

     

    Ensures the end state of the project meets business objective(s) and that all deliverables and due dates are met.

     

    Highly collaborative process often requires managing relationships across the health plan, shared services, and with growth partners/functional areas.

     

    Length of each project may run one year or more in duration, and projects may run concurrently.

    Essential Duties:

    Provides input on business plan to achieve business goals.

     

    Proactively leads assigned project by creating project timeline, identifying key milestones and additional tasks and resources needed to successfully complete the work.

     

    Manages internal relationships, processes and performance measures.

     

    Negotiates to ensure deliverables are met.

     

    Identifies issues and risks that may impact the project, trouble-shoots and builds mitigation strategies and escalates as needed across governance.

     

    Tracks progress and communicates project status on a regular basis to all impacted parties.

     

    Builds communication plan and facilitates cross-functional meetings with purpose, agenda and detailed notes.

     

    Acts as an advocate for change and will require influencing others to meet project demands.

     

    Provides project leadership in identifying gaps and recommending enhancements related to new and/or existing workplans and processes.

     

    Develops RACI and process maps and drives business decisions when needed for contractual and regulatory requirements and deliverables.

     

    Works as a team player and may mentor, guide and support other members of the project team to work collaboratively to provide solutions and enhancements to the department goals.

     

    Demonstrates project successes with related disciplines, business process development, implementation, migrations, upgrades and operational improvements.

     

    Demonstrates ability to interact with all levels of management.

     

    Demonstrates ability to deliver presentations and facilitate large group meetings.

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of Project Management experience; preferably in health care, managed care or health operations

     

    Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite Applications, such as Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.

     

    Flexibility to work adjusted hours based on varying time zones of project members.

     

    Up to 10% travel for State readiness review meetings.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Microsoft Project and/or Asana experience preferred.

     

    Visio process mapping and RACI development preferred.

     

    Experience working on technical projects preferred.

     

    PMP certification is a plus.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $54,300.00 - $119,340.00

     

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
