Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Buyer to join our client's team in Shoreview, Minnesota. In this role, you will manage procurement processes, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to optimizing supply chain operations and building strong supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Issue purchase orders in alignment with company policies and material requirements.
• Oversee approval processes for purchase orders and verify supplier terms.
• Expedite orders and materials to align with production and operational schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and pricing agreements.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, such as delays or non-compliance, escalating matters when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address material shortages and support production needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster consistent performance.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Generate reports on supplier performance, inventory levels, and order statuses.
• Support supply chain optimization efforts, including cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Requirements • Proficiency in data entry, including handling high volumes of numeric information.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and the ability to generate reports and dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate supply chain metrics and identify trends.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and familiarity with supplier management.
• Problem-solving skills to address and resolve supply chain challenges.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining procurement records and data.
