Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Uniondale, New York. As part of a growing organization, you will play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in transactional records. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform detailed data entry to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle invoice processing tasks, ensuring timely and error-free submissions.

• Apply cash payments and reconcile accounts to ensure proper allocation.

• Generate reports and summaries to support financial decision-making.

• Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for all financial activities.

• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

• Proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation tasks.

• Ability to handle cash applications and related financial tasks.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communication abilities for vendor and stakeholder interactions.
