Description
We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Ramsey, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your accounting skills within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will assist with accounts payable, receivable, collections, and organizational tasks while contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable, receivable processes, including collections and follow-ups.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining financial files and documents.
• Support accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify financial records and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Handle basic accounting entries and maintain detailed records.
• Utilize Excel and Navision software for data analysis and reporting.
• Provide support for sales order processing and tracking.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
• Adapt to evolving processes and contribute to the integration of systems following a company merger.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
• Ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
