    Description

    Robert Half is partnering with a family-owned construction-related company that works closely with subcontractors and builders to identify an AR / Credit & Collections Clerk. This role is open due to a retirement and offers a strong opportunity to convert to a permanent position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform high-volume cash applications (checks, ACH, web payments; ~30–50/week)

    + Assist with credit reviews, collections, and managing customer aging

    + Support preparation of preliminary liens as needed

    + Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets to balance AR activity across 32 branches in 2 regions

    + Manage aging reports for approximately 600 customer accounts (shared with senior AR staff)

    + Handle collections primarily via email, with occasional phone follow-up as needed

    + No collections on cash-fill accounts

    + Assist with credit memos and chargebacks (training provided)

    + Provide strong customer communication and service to internal teams and external customers

    + Serve as a key support partner to the AR lead and sales reps (10–12 reps supported)

    Requirements

    Top Skills & Qualities Needed:

    + Strong attention to detail and punctuality (critical to success in this role)

    + Comfortable working in a family-owned, long-tenured, collaborative culture

    + Excellent customer communication and professionalism

    + Ability to manage a large, recurring customer base and prioritize effectively

    + Prior AR, credit, or collections experience preferred

    Position Details:

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

    + Work Environment: 100% onsite

    + Start Date: ASAP following interviews
