    Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services,(CMCS),Office of Rural Health Transformation (ORHT). As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist (Division Deputy Director), GS-0501-14,you will aim to improve healthcare access and outcomes in rural communities by strengthening rural hospitals and other providers by enhancing access to services, and fostering partnerships. Responsibilities Perform the full range of supervisory duties for a highly skilled and multi-disciplinary professional staff, including providing necessary directions, instructions, and guidance. Advise on the operational, budgetary, contracting, and program integrity implications of proposed or revised policies, regulations, legislative proposals, and initiatives, and makes authoritative program recommendations to senior management. Support senior leadership in the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of RHT program administration and operational activities, and participates in the development of intermediate and long-term plans and goals. Conduct special operational assignments, financial management projects, and program integrity studies involving sensitive and/or confidential technical program-related issues that have an impact on Rural Health Transformation policies and operations Prepare and supports other staff and leadership in preparing communication on financial management and program integrity activities, such as reports to Congress and responses to audits/studies from the OIG and GAO. In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Leading the development and implementation of program policies, guidance, or procedures for funding and ensuring program integrity (2) Working with state healthcare agencies, rural communities, or national stakeholders to assess technical needs and manage projects that support organizational goals (3) Deliver presentations, briefing reports, or dashboards to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
