Position Title: Security Guard

Shift: Part Time

Department: Facilities

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Position Overview: Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all company facilities and assets. This role involves monitoring and patrolling company premises, managing access points, and responding to security incidents effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Patrol company premises and designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.

+ Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles.

+ Inspect and monitor access points, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs.

+ Ensure the security of the company’s fleet, including trucks and trailers, by conducting regular inspections.

+ Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activity.

+ Maintain security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems, ensuring they are operational.

+ Report any security breaches, incidents, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

+ Maintain detailed records of daily activities, observations, and any incidents.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

+ Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to remain calm and act efficiently during emergencies.

+ Excellent written and verbal skills

+ Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.

+ Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and cover open shifts as needed.

+ Base salary range of $17 per hour
