The American Heart Association is seeking a dynamic **Senior Program Lead, Strategic Initiatives,** **to join our Integrated Care Initiatives team** at our office located in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for remote candidates.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant-funded opportunity; current funding is through July of 2031.
In the U.S., the heart valve disease contributes to more than 60,000 deaths each year. Reporting to the VP of Integrated Care Initiatives, you will shape a national effort that helps change care, influence decision-making across departments, and guide high-impact collaborations.
In this role you will be responsible for leading the implementation and success of the Heart Valve Initiative, serving as a subject matter expert and cross-enterprise collaborator. You will work closely with internal subject-matter experts and external stakeholders to shape strategy, guide execution, and develop audience-specific engagement pathways that broaden reach and deepen impact.

Responsibilities
+ Lead the cross-functional development of strategic plans and implementation and serve- as a senior subject matter authority to facilitate the Heart Valve Initiative integration across the enterprise.
+ Drive measurable progress across Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the Initiative strategies resonate with target audiences and achieve sustainable public health impact.
+ Collaborate with a variety of the American Heart Association departments such as Science, Quality Improvement, Patient Solutions, Evaluation, Marketing and Communications, and Corporate Relations to drive end-to-end solutions related to the portfolio and KPIs.
+ Identify and engage key national strategic alliance partners to achieve new business and volunteer relationships to advance opportunities for multi-layered collaborations, revenue generation, patient voice, and volunteer leadership. In addition, nurture, improve or maintain relationships to achieve scale/sustainability of the portfolio's public health programming. Participate in ongoing relationship management and guide tracking and evaluation.
+ Guide the development of resources in collaboration with other teams to support the Initiative’s goals including a patient awareness campaign and health care professional education
+ Analyzes and evaluates effectiveness and customer engagement with the Initiative’s assets and strategic objectives. Provides recommendations for programmatic development, evaluation and improvement.
+ Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with the Association staff, volunteers, sponsors, patients, and partners throughout. In collaboration with the team VP, identifies and establishes Initiative teams to address all aspects of the initiative, success measures and analysis of market response and reach.
+ Lead all aspects of the Initiative’s operations such as event support, conference engagement, impact reporting, survey development, and data analysis.
+ Analyzes market trends and business relationships to align with assigned Initiative. Supports the development and execution of the Initiative business plan, reporting on progress and outcomes.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent work experience in Health Promotion, Public Health, Human Resources, Marketing, Business, Communications.
+ Five (5) years validated experience in business development or account management. **7 years of experience is preferred.**
+ Experience in program development, planning and management.
+ Experience in public health or non-profit services.
+ Comprehensive experience building business cases, analyzing market trends and identifying creative business opportunities.
+ Ability to influence leadership without direct authority.
+ Ability to communicate and present ideas across diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of health organizations and community-based standard processes for engaging community-based organizations.
+ Experience with market/consumer research, analytics and reporting.
+ Proven ability to simultaneously lead multiple, complex projects and events in varying stages of development under time constraints to ensure deadline compliance.
+ Proven understanding and appreciation for the use of technology and information systems.
+ Proven critical thinking skills in assessing needs and available resources to efficiently implement new and existing programs.
+ Self-motivated, highly effective organizational and analytical skills, communication, negotiation, and social skills.
+ Validated ability to efficiently participate in or facilitate meetings with internal and external clients including interacting with external partners/sponsors representing the Association to the public as vital.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range is $100,000 to $115,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply to the pay range. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
