    Group Leader- Wyomissing, PA (1st Shift)

     

    SFS is seeking a Manufacturing Group Leader for our Wyomissing, PA location to join our team. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual who will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working in collaboration with our professional, supportive and passionate team!

    Responsibilities

    + Hands on leadership of small team of machine operators to productivity excellence

    + Ensure inventory accuracy through proper material handling, documentation, and cycle counts

    + Lead with safety in all aspects of machinery operation

    + Hiring, training, and retaining employees

    + Inspect parts and follow SFS inspection processes for quality

    + Support predictive and preventative maintenance process

    + Prevents and detects potential quality problems by following the QES (Quality, Environmental, Safety) standards

    + Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)

    + Data entry of SAP transactions for meeting daily production goals

    + Administrative tasks as required- reporting, time keeping, hiring and disciplinary documentation, processing timecards, etc.

    + Program PMC controls

    + Cleaning machinery, workstation, and other duties as assigned

     

    The Ideal Candidate

     

    + High School Diploma required, associate’s degree preferred

    + 2-5 years leading a team, in a manufacturing environment preferred

    + Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations

    + Ability to become forklift certified

    + Ability to stand for extended periods of time
