    Job Summary:

    Responsible for the successful execution of UGI’s capital program portfolio of replacement and betterment (R&B) and growth projects in adherence with company safety and operating policies and procedures. Responsible for developing and managing the short-term resource and project plans to deliver projects within the approved budget and schedule to achieve annual and long term infrastructure improvement plan targets.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    + Direct a team to manage R&B and Growth project construction from the Construction Ready through Job Complete status. This will include managing the customer experience and municipal relationships and notifications during construction as well as quality assurance and inspection activities to reduce risk, ensure 100% compliance with all procedures and regulations, and to gain efficiency. Safety is a core value and priority when completing construction.

    + Direct a team of resources distributed throughout the territory to develop a short-term resource plan, including detailed crew and contractor inspection resources to complete the R&B and Growth capital projects. Coordinate internal and contractor resources as needed to achieve capital targets. The resource plan should be designed to sufficiently provide support to operate in a safe and efficient manner.

    + Develop and maintain an active subcontractor supplier relationship program, including quarterly updates with all contractors and individual contractors as needed. Maintain and continually update a contractor/supplier scorecard to guage performance of contractors against UGI specific and industry KPI’s.

    + Monitor contractor billing process and related dispute resolution. Actively support and participate in contractor RFP’s, bidding, and any contract related disputes (including remediating any non-compliant field work,etc.)

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Leadership and construction experience within mid-sized gas utility

    + Demonstrated leadership skills; experienced as a functional leader and change agent, accountable for organizational progress and results; demonstrated ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations; ability to lead cross-functional teams; demonstrate skills as a safety leader

    + Ability to lead complex, large projects and/or multi-location initiatives; excellent project management and process improvement skills; manage time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, delegation and time management skills

    + Productive, flexible, collaborative, and proactive leader who welcomes challenges

    + Expert ability to build strong relationships and develop trust across the organization with experience influencing cultural shifts to Lean with successful acceptance; negotiates skillfully, anticipating reactions and planning strategically to overcome objections

    + Analyze information to make sound business decisions taking prudent business risks as appropriate; strong decision-making skills and abilities driven by ability to perform data analytics and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills; synthesize information from many sources to arrive at a deep understanding of complex issue.

    + Communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing; demonstrate skill in proactively building strong relationships with top tier partners/leaders/customers both internally and externally; ability to effectively present and discuss technical information and respond to questions from employees, government agency representatives, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders

    + Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks to effectively achieve results

    Education & Qualifications:

    + Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a closely related technical field; Master's degree in Business or Engineering preferred

    + Length of Experience: 10 years of experience in gas, electric utility/pipeline/transmission with a thorough understanding of major business functions; demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, preferred

    + Other: Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; MS Project preferred
