About the role This position is responsible for coordinating resources and supervising the manufacturing of scheduled production. In addition, this position ensures that scheduled production requirements are met within set budgeted and quality requirements in a safe and orderly manner. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Responsibilities Operates the department in a manner that supports established budgets for volume, scrap and labor. Investigates system and process related problems, recommends and implements corrective actions. Determines parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed condition. Develops and maintains daily metrics of production goals vs. achievements. Analyze shortfalls and document the causes. Take immediate steps to remove obstacles to meeting production goals. Implements and supervises adherence to all company policies, including but not limited to, safety, attendance, training, preventive maintenance, Quality and the employee handbook. Performs supervisory duties including, but not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, assigning work, evaluating and rewarding performance Performs audits on Preventive Maintenance (PM), in-process checks, changeover log, line organization (5S), line scrap and production boards Drives process improvement, sees that all projects have accountability, and that promise dates are met Assists with root cause analyses and 8D where applicable Oversees established bill of material and WIP inventory. In coordination with other departments, develops and maintains procedures and instructions in an ISO 9001 environment and ensure that each production employee is abiding by the procedures in place. 2nd shift schedule - Monday through Thursday - 3:30pm -2:00am Qualifications Must posses a working knowledge of mechanical, automation, and Work Cell style manufacturing equipment and processes Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds Leadership – Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and mentor team to drive towards success and foster a culture of excellence Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders Problem-Solver – Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions Interpersonal Skills – Build strong relationships with others to promote a supportive and engaged workplace Attention to Detail – Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards Analytical Skills – Analyze data to make informed decisions Critical Thinking – Ability to think critically and make informed decisions to optimize performance Mentorship – Guide team members through their professional development, offer constructive feedback, assess performance, and provide continually support to help them succeed Direction – Ability to train and direct employees to encourage them to complete assigned tasks within given deadlines Interview – Assess candidates’ qualifications, their fit on the team, their ability to successfully perform in the role, and potential contributions to the organization Leadership – Ability to guide, inspire, and influence others to achieve common goals. This includes setting a vision, making strategic decisions, and motivating a team to work collaboratively Decision Maker – Ability to select best course of action from various alternatives to achieve desired outcomes.
