Production Worker

General Purpose

Production team members work collaboratively to assemble, and package finished products while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Essential Job Functions

*

Load and unload products from feeders.

*

Pack finished products into sleeves.

*

Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met.

*

Assemble boxes and load skids.

*

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

*

High school diploma or GED required.

*

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

*

Ability to learn and follow safety rules, policies, and operating procedures.

*

Effective verbal communication skills.

*

Ability to work overtime as needed during peak production periods.

*

Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

*

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, identifying hazards, and working safely with tools and materials.

Safe Work Requirements

*

Required PPE may include safety glasses, ear plugs or earmuffs, safety shoes, gloves (when required), hard hats, and any additional PPE based on job or task.

*

Compliance with Smurfit WestRock employment policies, handbook, and workplace safety procedures.

*

Timely reporting of safety concerns, incidents, and safety work orders, with a basic understanding of the Safety Excellence System.

*

Follow task assignments and program requirements set by site leadership (General Manager, Plant Manager, Department Manager, Shift Supervisor).

*

Completion of required training as outlined in the Learning and Development System, which may be assigned annually, quarterly, or when new processes or procedures are introduced.

*

Clear understanding of the STOP Work Process, including the right to stop work at any time to ensure safety or gain clarity on a process.
