*Overview* The media and communication department is seeking candidates for a full-time, temporary, faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will exhibit evidence of teaching effectiveness and maintain an active research agenda. The public relations position in Media and Communication will include undergraduate teaching duties in public relations, multimedia storytelling, and other core courses as needed. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: public relations, use and regulation of new electronic communication technologies, and interdisciplinary multimedia applications. Duties include teaching, advising, and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Master's degree in Media/Communication Studies or related fields 2. Experience in and a commitment to teaching in a multicultural environment with students from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles. 3. Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and/or research collaborations. 4. Experience with teaching, supervision, and advising. *Preferred Qualifications* 1. PhD degree in Media/Communication Studies or related fields 2. Industry experience in public relations or similar fields 3. Record of research in one or more of the following areas: public relations, use and regulation of new electronic communication technologies, and interdisciplinary multimedia applications. 4. Potential for excellence in community engagement and university service. 5.
