**Northrop Grumman is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student in a STEM Field for an internship opportunity.** This position will be located in Dulles, VA/Mclean, VA or Baltimore, MD. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector.
In this role, you will perform duties contributing to mission and/or space vehicle engineering activities. You could support and/or be responsible for developing requirements, design, integration, development or testing of space payloads, spacecraft buses, satellites, human-rated spacecraft, or satellite servicing vehicles. This includes generating and flowing down customer requirements to hardware and software designers, developing innovative system architectures, implementing advanced algorithms involving sophisticated signal processing and data processing techniques, and integrating and testing finished hardware and software products.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
+ Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor’s/master's degree or higher from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
+ Be majoring in or having majored in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree.
+ Be available to work full-time on-site (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during **summer 2026**
+ Be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher
+ Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Intern Pay Range:
Bachelor’s: $25.75 to $31.75 per hour
Master’s: $37.25 to $39.00 per hour
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
