$42/hr | Southlake, TX | In-Person | Intermediate (5th–6th Grade)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instructional services to students in an intermediate school setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role supports students through co-teaching, resource instruction, and fulfillment of IEP minutes. The Special Education Teacher will collaborate closely with general education staff and contribute to the planning and implementation of student programs for kindergarten through grade 12.
Assignment Details
+ Location: Southlake, TX
+ Start Date: January 26, 2026
+ End Date: May 21, 2026
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM
+ Hours: 37.5 hours per week
+ Pay Rate: $42 per hour
+ Modality: In-person
+ Duration: Approximately 35 weeks
Classroom & Caseload Details
+ Grade Level: Intermediate (5th–6th grade)
+ Classroom Model:
+ Co-teach 6th grade Math
+ 1 section of 6th grade Resource
+ 1 section dedicated to IEP minutes
+ Caseload: 6–8 students
+ Classroom Support: No paraprofessional support
Responsibilities
+ Deliver special education instruction aligned with IEP goals
+ Co-teach 6th grade mathematics in a general education setting
+ Provide resource support and manage IEP service minutes
+ Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff
+ Participate in planning, implementation, and documentation of student programs
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate per state and contract requirements
+ State certification preferred in one or more of the following:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Special Education and Math certifications required
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred
+ CPR certification if applicable
+ TB screening and current health certificate per state guidelines
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
