At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!
You will be a part of a group of experienced engineers in the Data Products & Platforms team within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Experiences (DX). As a Sr Data Engineer you will report into the Manager, Engineering who oversees Cast data initiatives.

Responsibilities** **:
+ Contribute to the design and growth of our Data Products and Data Warehouses around Content Performance and Content Engagement data.
+ Design and develop scalable data warehousing solutions, build ELT pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-premise, hybrid)
+ Use our tech stack including AWS, Snowflake, Data Build Tool (DBT) and Automic UC4/Airflow to transform, store, retrieve, and distribute Financial Management data.
+ Help architect data solutions/frameworks and use dimensional modeling to define data assets in a medallion structure
+ Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Architects and Data Engineers to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
+ Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support data quality and data governance
+ Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support a dedicated focus on our customers (Data Science, Data Analytics and Business teams)
+ Be an active participant and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure health and process improvements for your team
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of data engineering experience, developing large data pipelines
+ Strong SQL skills writing queries to extract data and build performant datasets
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
+ Hands-on experience with AWS tool stack such as Lambda, Kinesis, DMS, AppFlow, EventBridge) to ingest process data
+ Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query)
+ Expert level experience with SQL/T-SQL and ability to create and tune queries
+ Agile and Scrum experience
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
+ Solid experience with data integration toolsets (Airflow) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines
+ Familiarity with Data Modeling techniques and Data Warehousing standard methodologies and practices
Preferred Education:
+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $135,200.00-$181,200.00 and in California is $141,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
