Position Overview:
The PAC Director will play a pivotal role in managing the administrative and operational functions of the U.S. Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC). This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic professional to oversee fundraising initiatives, ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations, and support the Chamber’s political advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and contributors to maintain the PAC’s effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversee the administrative operations for the PAC.
+ Help develop an annual solicitation plan while becoming familiar with PAC contributors to prepare fundraising programming.
+ Schedule and lead quarterly disbursement review meetings.
+ Manage the PAC budget and cash flow and produce internal reports on fundraising and disbursement goals.
+ Manage and track all contributions and disbursements.
+ Coordinate and host quarterly conference calls with contributors and process PAC disbursements.
+ Draft email communications and program materials and oversee PAC legal compliance and FEC reporting.
+ Maintain program benefits and giving levels structures.
+ Manage the PAC vendor relationship with key priorities, including monthly filing reports, the contribution website, and bank reconciliation.
+ Coordinate Chamber policy staff attendance at external PAC fundraisers, events, and team operations related to task management and team member oversight.
+ Help the senior political strategist coordinate the political endorsement program, including communications and scheduling operations.
+ Manage programs within the Political Affairs and Issue Advocacy Division, including logistics for political-related events—both in person and virtual.
+ Lead all division administrative activities, including budget assistance, compliance, and vendor related.
+ Prepare meeting memorandums, pre-event line-by-lines and talking points.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of political and outstanding administrative operations experience.
+ Experience working with federal elected officials, political parties, campaign fundraisers, and trade association partners.
+ An understanding of the federal political and elections process.
+ Knowledge of, or an enthusiastic willingness to learn, legal compliance and FEC regulations for trade association PACs.
+ Experience working with high-level executives.
+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
+ Organized self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
+ Proficiency in MS Office and PowerPoint.
The salary range for this position is $91,849.00 to $105,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
