MAIN FUNCTION:

+ To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of clients who are addicted to alcohol or any other moodaltering substances.

+ User role(s) information systems access as assigned, where applicable

+ This position is classified as Essential for emergency closure purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provides group counseling to an assigned caseload.

+ Provides individual counseling as clinically necessary.

+ Designs and implements treatment plans and treatment plan reviews.

+ Generates referral source progress reports.

+ Conducts lectures, seminars, workshops, and taskoriented groups.

+ Maintains contact with referral sources, including EAP’s, probation, parole and outpatient treatment providers, etc.

+ Initiates Discharge Planning and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.

+ Participates in all scheduled Case Conferencing and Discharge Planning meetings for treatment review of clients.

+ Attends biweekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision.

+ Participates in staff meetings.

+ Completes all required consent for release of information forms.

+ Conduct Peer Review monthly.

+ Enter progress notes and other clinical documentation as needed into the EMR.

+ Responsible for approving qualified family members for attendance in the Family Program.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Qualified Health Professional (CASAC, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC), plus one year of full-time paid experience in substance abuse treatment.
