Job Description
Overview: Insight Global is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to support a full-service hospital in Washington, D.C., including 136 beds, providing advanced care, including trauma, emergency, maternal, and pediatric services. This candidate will be working within the Behavioral Health Department.
Responsibilities Include:
• Directs the activities of the nursing staff members, including scheduling the daily nursing tasks for the department and providing guidance on operational procedures and patient care.
• Provides direct patient care, following the nursing process and holistic conceptual framework in the development of nursing care plans.

Skills and Requirements
Requirements:
• DC Licensure.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience within an acute care hospital setting.
• No long term care.
• 2 years of Leadership experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
Preferred:
• Psych RN experience preferred.
