    - We are seeking a qualified Scientific Product Advisor to work remotely supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’ (NOAA) large-scale project.

     

    - We seek an experienced Scientific Product Advisor to provide QA Analyst to ensure quality across the full lifecycle of our scientific products and solutions.

     

    - In this role, you will partner closely with scientists and technical teams to validate requirements, review documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

     

    - You will help translate scientific needs into testable requirements, manage verification and validation activities, and support audits and continuous improvement.

     

    - Ideal candidates bring both QA expertise, a strong science background and the ability to communicate effectively with scientific end-users.

     

    Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr

    Skills and Requirements

    Required Skills

    • Ability to pass a public trust clearance and wait ~8-12 weeks to onboard

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology)

    • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, scientific analysis, scientific lifecycle management or related lifecycle management role.

    • 2+ years of experience developing or integrating software for scientific applications (preferably Fortran/C/C++ in a Linux environment) to assess algorithm complexity and required effort. (No actual development involved or required. Some programming experience and/or Linux experience helps in this role, but that is a "bonus" on top of an otherwise good resume.)

    • Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, risk assessments, and lifecycle documentation.

    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and scientific software.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific findings into clear recommendations.

    • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills. Desired Skills

    • Familiarity with scientific data formats.

    • Scripting language experience (Python preferred).

    • Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools.

    • Understanding of Agile life cycle processes and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD concepts and practices Certification in Quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
