    Job Description

    An employer in the Woodlands, TX area is seeking a Network Architect II to join their team. This team is responsible for the planning and implementation of various aspects of the network infrastructure. The Network Architect with be responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the network infrastructure including cabling, LAN / WAN, VXLAN, VoIP, Network security, wireless, data center management, etc. On a daily basis, this person will be providing technical solutions across the infrastructure to implement and install new technologies, customizations, administration and support of the networks. This person should expect 90% of their day to be focused around new projects and about 10% to be dedicated to operations.

     

    This is a permanent hire opportunity with a salary range of $150,000 - 155,000

    Skills and Requirements

     

    8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Networking Engineering roles

     

    Advanced network engineering experience with Cisco networking products including routers / switches, firewalls, etc.

     

    Experience Engineering LAN / WAN infrastructure and Cisco SD-WAN

     

    Experience with EVPN and VXLAN

     

    Experience with Cisco DCNM (Data Center Network Manager) and / or NDFC (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller), Spine and Leaf Architecture

     

    Experience with protocols including: OMP, BFD, BGP, OSP, Dot1X

     

    Experience with Meraki for wireless network

     

    Experience with Network design encompassing the above technologies and practices

    CCNP CCDP

    Experience in the financial industry

     

    Bachelor's degree
