SUMMARY: Responsible for cleaning offices, and lavatories/bathrooms according to a housekeeping schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, as well as performance of other work related duties as assigned:

+ Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.

+ Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.

+ Cleans and disinfects restrooms.

+ Cleans and disinfects dining areas and break room

+ Cleans and disinfects office spaces

+ Cleans and disinfects administration and residential common areas

+ Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, all floors/rugs and surfaces in offices and rooms. Clean walls, woodwork, windows, mirrors, furniture, equipment, and hardware

+ Stocks appropriate supplies in restrooms.

+ Collects and disposes of trash and garbage; transport trash to dumpsters.

+ Moves equipment and furniture such as tables, and chairs.

+ Reports defects in the dept. And the agency.

+ Observes and reports safety violations; actively participates in emergency situations

+ Place maintenance request/workorders in the WestCare Intranet system

+ Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

+ Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.

+ Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using appropriate cleaning supplies, sponges, or squeegees

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

+ Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.).

+ Must have knowledge of housekeeping procedures.

+ Must be dependable and have ability to follow directions.
