**Job Type** : Full-Time +, Non-Exempt

**Pay** : Competitive, Hourly

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

+ Computer Aided Drafting

+ Guided design of power distribution systems including: service entrance switchboards, engine generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems, monitoring and controls systems, lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarm and security systems

+ Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions

+ Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required

+ Complete and submit weekly paperwork (timesheets, expense reports, etc.)

+ Short Circuit and protective device coordination studies using SKM power tools and ETAP.

+ Work with clients, managers, and engineers to coordinate project designs

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively

+ Outstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibility.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

+ Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an advantage

Education & Experience:

+ Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field

License & Certifications:

+ Driver's License Preferred, but not required

Travel:

Little to no travel is expected for this position

Physical Requirements:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pre-Screen:

+ Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
