**Sodexo Government Services** has an exciting opportunity for a **Food Production Manager 2** for the **United States Marine Corps- West-** working at **Dunham Mess Hall 1880** at **Twentynine Palms Marine Installation** in **Twentynine Palms, California** . This base is located in the Mojave Desert, on the Northern side of the Joshua Tree National Park- about 60 miles from Palm Springs, a 2.5 hour drive from Los Angeles, and 3 hours from Las Vegas. The Food Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager, and will be responsible for day to day oversight of all culinary operations for this Marine Corps Mess Hall.

**The United States Marine Corps** has high quality level food service expectations, and this account will require delivery of exceptional quality food service. Within Government Services, contract compliance is critical; food safety and customer service are high priorities. Extensive safety audits and customer surveys are conducted at each unit on a weekly basis. Sodexo offers innovative and healthy concepts while keeping to a strict profit and loss financial statement.

+ have oversight of day-to-day BOH operations;

+ deliver high quality food service;

+ develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

+ develop strategic plans;

What You Bring

+ have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

+ have a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

+ have high volume food service experience;

+ have contract food service experience, _preferred_ ;

+ have experience managing staff in a union environment, _preferred_ ;

+ can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service; and/or

+ prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
