Position Summary:

Responsible for operating, maintaining and programming Wire EDM machine

Responsibilities:

+ Setup, troubleshoot and operate Agie 100 Wire EDM machine.

+ Use Solidworks and MasterCam software in order to facilitate writing programs to wire shapes, dimensions and geometry to Blueprint specs

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and quality specs.

+ Performs Preventative Maintenance of Wire EDM equipment by applying work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Will be required to assist toolmakers as necessary

+ Maintain records and make data entries into computer systems

+ Wear all required PPE at all times

+ Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area

Education and Experience:

+ High School or Equivalency Diploma

+ Knowledge and use of shop math with mechanical aptitude

+ Knowledge of various types of tool steel and principles of metal cutting

+ 5 years minimum experience in machining or tool room environment
