    Summary This position is located in the Human Resources Division, Arlington, VA. The selectee of this position oversees the USMS Executive Resources Portfolio provides strategic leadership for all aspects of executive human capital management. This role directs SES recruitment, qualifications review, performance management, executive development, pay setting, reporting, and succession planning, ensuring compliance with OPM and DOJ requirements. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Executive Resources) at the GS-0201-14 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the technical advisor responsible for overseeing Senior Executive Service (SES) program. Applies advanced HR pay principles, concepts, and practices in support of SES and Political appointment pay systems and authorities. Plans and carries out special projects and studies to identify and resolve problems related to HR SES program activities. - Provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. Verify Registration here. Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period Qualifications GS-14 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0201-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability: 1) Leading or managing the full range of staffing and recruitment services for an organization; 2) Providing guidance and advice to senior executive level officials on all aspects of the Senior Executive Service (SES) and political human resources programs; 3) Implementing Senior Executive Services (SES) staffing, recruitment, classification, performance management, and placement requests; 4) Applying a wide-range of recruitment/placement concepts, practices, laws, regulations, and policies; and 5) Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates.
